Saturday October 17, 4-8 SJC Jubilee!! feat. Stephanie solo + other great music, fun, art, 50/50 raffle, learning...Hello! I hope you’re enjoying this beautiful fall. What an eventful summer! and not in a good way, necessarily…. I ended up playing and booking much less, and only have 1 show scheduled in the foreseeable future, and it’s a week from today Saturday October 17, 4-8pm at the Social Justice Center 1202 Williamson St. feat. Def Sonic, BasKeT (Eliott from Earthlings), Stephanie Rearick, Kathleen King, and more! Plus a 50/50 raffle, art opening, art making, learning about the groups and cool projects that call SJC home, finding ways to support the place in the face of a lot of difficult situations, beer, pizzas from Mentoring Positives, and more! Come for the whole thing. I’ll either play outside early or inside toward the end, and you’ll want to be there for all of it anyway :) support SJC here --- The I go to Europe for a work retreat. In case you didn’t know, all the work I do on cooperative economic stuff has been unpaid (in dollars, anyway) since this year - this retreat aims to change that by creating some very practical and replicable avenues for more community supportive entrepreneurship and enterprise. ultimately, it will benefit you too :) Wouldn’t you like to do more of what you like and less of what you don’t? Wouldn’t it be nice if you and your neighbors were taken care of when you need it? Wouldn’t it be cool if you and your neighbors could put a bit more time and attention toward making your community as beautiful, or energy efficient, or cohesive, or peaceful, or radical, or kid-friendly, or radically inclusive, as you want it to be? what if the economy rewarded that kind of thing as much as suing people?
