Saturday 9/11, 7pm SHARP outside Mother Fool’s 1101 Williamson Madison (we’ll go inside if the weather is terrible but it’s forecast to be PERFECT)
Def || Sonic w/ Stephanie Rearick

I’ll be opening for the awesome Def || Sonic, a reschedule of the show we’d planned to do in April of 2020. This also happens to be the 20th anniversary of my first album release. The Long Picnic came out on Sept. 11, 2001, forever changing the meaning of that album and song to represent the end of an era. This year feels even more meaningful than most as we celebrate what we had and what we lost. And it’ll also be fun.
Def || Sonic will treat us to some rich soundscapes and light projections after my set. Join us!

The Human Show ep. 7: Hot Topics

This is my monthy interview/variety show. I play some music that fits the theme of the show, on CODA’s gorgeous grand piano. Our regular Piano Recital segment features a different local musician each month, playing a couple songs on piano which is often not their primary instrument. Celebrate piano and hear a new side of your favorite musician’s musical personality. This month features Bucky Pope! (Tar Babies, Negative Example)

And my interviewee is a super secret special surprise - but rest assured it’ll be a Hot Topic!!
