The core of the group was still cranking out titles like Dust and Self-Disgust, Eat the Beauty, and Buttocks on the Moon. Much of the recording magic happened at Junior's Motel, a converted chicken coop on a farm in Otho, Iowa, with additional tracks laid back in Chicago.
