Once again, Uvulittle is well represented in the nominations for the Madison Area Music Awards.
Ritt Deitz is up for 2 awards - Folk/Americana album of the year for After The Mountains and Folk/Americana artist of the year for himself.
db pedersen is nominated for Unique album of the year for Carrot, Carrot!

New Ritt Deitz CD, Collected (1999-2000) now available


Collected (1999-2000) Ritt Deitz' newest release is now available. We're excited about this collection of favorites from Ritt's first 2 CDs.
Since STAY is now out of print and HILLBILLY will soon be, Ritt has put together a collection of favorites from his first 2 albums for Uvulittle Records. Included is a new single, "Shake," on which Deitz plays all the instruments.

Rearick debuts new band, The ManSisters


Stephanie Rearick debuted her new band, Rearick & the ManSisters (myspace) at The 36th annual Great Midwest Harvest Fest at Library Mall on the UW Campus in Madison, WI.

The band is made up of the original members of The Your Mom, Stephanie Rearick, Jon Hain, Justin Berens and David Fawcet. In this version of Rearick Inc., David is playing electronic drums.

Stephanie Rearick announces summer tour dates


Stephanie Rearick will take her piano pop rock cabaret show on the road this summer with 11 dates planned. The gigs run the gamut from house concerts and parties to clubs and bars. Many of the shows on this tour are all ages. She will be playing with some excellent musicians along the way so make a point to catch her when she's in your area.

Uvulittle well represented at 2006 Madison Music Awards


Lots of CDs and artists we work with picked up awards at this year's Madison Area Music Awards (the MAMAs). The MAMAs are a great emerging Madison tradition. Musicians, fans and the music press come together to celebrate the great diversity of music in our city. It serves also as a fundraiser to help support music education in our schools. This year's event was the third. It took place on Saturday, March 18 at the University Theater. We were quite excited that a number of artists and cds that we work with won awards. Our very first podcast!! The Uvulittle Records Podcast Broadcast will be a regular program showcasing great music from our catalog -- both stuff we have released and stuff we distribute. Jon Hain is the main host although there will be special guest hosts from time to time. He is a little shy about how overdriven his voice is on the first episode so you'll certainly want to check that out. Beyond that, the first episode features songs by Ritt Deitz, Pascal, Rose Polenzani, Stephanie Rearick, MiLkBabY and others.

Ritt Deitz' After The Mountains off to a flying start!


Ritt had his CD Release Party in Madison last Saturday to a capacity crowd at Cafe Montmartre. Sara Pace got the crowd nicely riled up and Ritt brought down the house.It was a great ending to what had been a busy week of rehersals and performances. Ritt was on Urban Theater on UPN-TV14 and made an appearance on John Fabke's Pastures of Plenty program on WORT 89.9fm.Listen to Ritt's WORT appearance!The CD got a nice review in The Onion, which said, in part, "He works the same side...
