hey beautiful...you gotta believe there is light at the end of the tunnel.
right?
one of the things i love about making things is the whole "alien landscape" fantasy.  you know, in your mind's eye, coming over the hill or out of a tunnel and seeing something that makes you think..."wow, what is THAT?!?!"
It's probably why i've worked with modern dancers all these  years.
everyday is a new alien ritual to score :)
i was also rereading Slaughterhouse 5 when i was mixing....one of the greatest pieces of American literature ever.  go ahead fight me! ;)
so, i was thing more than usual about being unstuck in time and how every moment not only stands its own but is always infused with the past ans future. sometimes in the book and the weird trauma of 2020, they all bleed together bubbling different elements to the top of the pot.

if you're curious about process on this one...
spent a glorious afternoon improvising back and forth between two concepts.  one was a simultaneous kit/keys/vox thing.  one was a looping concept with vox and keys.  eventually i hit record and created the bones of the piece and put down some extra vox and keys on the concept one section.  then i unstuck it in time....
and so it goes.
