Sunday January 20, 12-6pm

The Mutual Aid Workspace (MAW) at the Social Justice Center is a new coworking and collaboration space. Come to our opening day and learn what’s going on and how you can join in.
@ The Social Justice Center, 1202 Williamson St. Madison WI.

All-day reception with food, drink, and kid-friendly space. With workshoppy discussions on who's in the space, who our current and potential partners are, and how you can plug in if you wish.
We aim to show abundance through cooperation and improve our individual and collective quality of life while we build a human-scaled neighborly economy - doing the work we really want to do, and providing what our communities really want and need.
12-12:30 Welcome reception
12:30-1:30 MAW partners - our core members (608 Arts, Dane County TimeBank, Madison InfoShop, Wisconsin Empathy Guild, Interpreters’ Coop, Madison Cooperative Development Coalition, Common Good Bookeeping Coop)
1:30-2 Reception
2 - 3 MAW partners - neighborhood and city (SJC tenants, neighboring businesses and orgs, other cooperatives, etc)
3-3:30 Reception
3:30-4:30 MAW partners - global (HUMANs board, advisory board, and pilot sites)
4:30 - 5 Reception
5 - 6 The methods to our MANness - poshterity budgeting (how to have a posh life on an austerity budget), common fund money pooling and wealth redistribution, project development, the Mutual Aid Platform (our software to manage projects and exchange hours and other forms of mutual credit and currency)

Feel free to come to any or all of it. Bring your kids who can stay with you in the space or go to an adjacent space with toys and more adult help. Enjoy food and drink, just learn what's going on or join as a new member of our co-working space. Organizations and individuals welcome to join.

Hope you can make it!! And please pass this on to any lists or individuals you think would like to attend.
